- KIPI Sports: What are your expectations for this season?
Coach Elwess: Beginning my 4rth year as the Braves Head Coach, my expectations are very high. Our guys have more experience and will start out the season with more power and support.
- KIPI Sports: Who are some returning players that you want to mention?
Coach Elwess: On offense we have Jr-Danah Diver as our Running Back. Danah can take off in the open field and has the power to drag multiple defenders. We are very excited to have Quarterback Tell Murray from Timberlake. Tell has great experience on and off the field and we look to make a deep run under his leadership. On defense we have Brock Ducheneaux who is a beast on the defensive end.
- KIPI Sports: Anything else you want to mention about this upcoming season?
Coach Elwess: All Nation football teams are using the 9-man system. We are excited to implement the Lakota Language into our playbook this season. Look for the Braves to make a deep run this post-season.
