KIPI Radio 93.5 FM -HD will have LIVE coverage of this year’s 2023 Black Hills Wacipi. Tune into 93.5 FM-HD on Friday October 6, 2023 at 7 p.m. MT to hear the opening Grand Entry from The Monument in Rapid City, right from the Heart of Turtle Island. The Black Hills Pow Wow is known as the Grand Finale of the Pow Wow’s Summer season that begins with Denver March Pow Wow in the Spring. All summer long dancers, singers, and all pow wow people travel across the country competing to place in contest and whether you end up in the money or not, next weekend is another celebration on another nation to be ready for. Pow Wow people become family over the years and this bond has brought so many of us together in so many ways. When the summer concludes and it starts to get cold, you know the Black Hills Wacipi is near and everyone will meet one final time in the Beautiful Black Hills!
