The Montana Supreme Court, in a split ruling upheld a temporary order blocking the enforcement of two election-related laws passed by the 2021 Montana Legislature while the laws are being challenged in court. Five justices agreed with a lower-court judge who blocked a law that required people using a student identification to register and vote provide another document including their name and address.

A popular Native television show has been renewed for a third season. “Reservation Dogs” continues its run with critics, fans, and awards all recognizing the series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi,”. In a news release studio officials said “FX is proud to join with our partners at Hulu to order a third season featuring the amazing cast and all of the artists who deliver one of the most original, engaging, and funny shows on television.” Tomorrow the final episode of Season two will air.

President Joe Biden has nominated Chinook Indian Nation citizen Roger Nyhus to be ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean in a move that could make him the second Chinook and at least the third Indigenous person to serve as a U.S. ambassador.
