As we close out 2022 and head into 2023, changing hands could sum things up, tribal and national elections saw upsets, and three longtime Main Street Timberlake businesses are up for sale searching for new owners. First, it was the Timberlake Topic and more recently the Dakota Silkscreen Owners that have made known their intent to retire, and sell their business and building. If in the New year, you want to pursue your food and beverage entrepreneurial interests, Grady Kraft says his Timberlake business the R Rockin Bar and Grill is for sale and he can be contacted directly at 605-848-0926.

The end of 2022 wasn’t so great for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Prairie Management program. On Wednesday, the office building where they are housed burned to the ground late in the afternoon, One staff member was hurt and has been receiving medical care. Smoke could be seen as far as 10 miles east of town. There is no official word yet on what caused the blaze. KIPI radio news is waiting to hear back on the exact cause of the fire and will update the KIPI website when we get word.
