Comcast Commits $650k to Native Women Lead’s Matriarch Revolutionary Fund and their Trailblazing Impact Investment Fund Focused on Native Women-Owned Businesses… Through Comcast’s support, NWL can continue its goal of building a $10 million Matriarch Revolutionary Fund that when fully resourced will help empower 200 Native women-owned businesses at $50,000 – $250,000 each. Comcast’s grant will also support NWL’s broader network of over 20,000 Indigenous women across Turtle Island, or North America, grow their businesses, communities, and environment with values-aligned integrated capital.
The American Indian College Fund Receives a $100,000 Investment for a Future Energy Professionals Project. Funding and Support Services will be Provided to Native Students Pursuing Post-Secondary Credentials in Energy Fields. Marathon Petroleum contributed $100,000 to the American Indian College Fund’s (College Fund) Future Energy Professionals Project to provide scholarships and academic and career services to Native college students pursuing post-secondary credentials at tribal colleges and universities (TCUs) in New Mexico and North Dakota. The focus of the program is on students who plan to enter energy fields, where Native people are underrepresented.
